Igor Shuvalov, who is also Russia's representative, or sherpa, to the G8, said: "It is a myth that we will not allow representatives of non-governmental organizations into our territory. No one has given such orders."
Iran's controversial nuclear problems will not be on the agenda of the G8 summit in St. Petersburg, but leaders could discuss the issue on the sidelines of official events, a Russian presidential aide said Tuesday. 
There are no plans to expand the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to include Iran, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said Tuesday.
Russia's chief negotiator in WTO accession talks said Tuesday the date and terms of the country's accession to the world's largest trade body would be known within weeks.
