GROZNY, May 23 (RIA Novosti) - Police are hunting for a militant group that attacked Interior Ministry troops in southeastern Chechnya, killing four servicemen and injuring three more, a local ministry source said Wednesday.
A militant group numbering about 15 men ambushed a reconnaissance unit near the village of Eshilkhatoy, near the troubled region's border with Daghestan, on Tuesday night, the source said.
"Four Interior Ministry soldiers were killed and three servicemen wounded in an exchange of fire," the source said, adding that the number of casualties among the militants was still unknown.
