NOVOSIBIRSK, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Jailed tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, currently serving an eight-year term in an east Siberian penal colony, met with his wife and mother Tuesday, his lawyer said.

Natalia Terekhova said Khodorkovsky's mother had already left the colony in the Chita Region while his wife Inna had been granted a third three-day visit with her husband.

Prison rules say Khodorkovsky - formerly boss of embattled oil company Yukos - is allowed four such visits a year.

Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev were found guilty of tax evasion and fraud by a Moscow court in May 2005 and sentenced to nine years in prison. On September 22, the Moscow City Court reduced their terms to eight years.

Lebedev is at a colony in the Arctic region of Yamalo-Nenets.
