KALININGRAD, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - One person has been hurt in a fire on a fighter plane in Russia's exclave in Europe, the press service of the local emergencies service said Tuesday.
Earlier, a high-ranking local emergencies official said the Su-27 Sukhoi Flanker had caught fire during refueling at the Chkalovsk military airport in the Kaliningrad Region, where Russia maintains a substantial military presence.
The press service said the fire, which has now been extinguished, had broken out at 1:52 p.m. Moscow time (9:52 a.m. GMT) and had damaged the aircraft's tail and wing.
A serviceman driving the refueling truck was injured in the blaze, the press service said.
