PARIS, July 10 (RIA Novosti, Andrei Nizamutdinov) - France's Air Accident Investigation Bureau (BEA) will help Russia investigate an air crash in Siberia Sunday that killed at least 124 people, a spokesman said Monday.

An Airbus 310-300, owned by Novosibirsk-based S7 crashed early Sunday in the Siberian city of Irkutsk. It veered off the runway upon landing, hit a concrete wall and then plowed into private garages before it burst into flames.

The spokesman said a bureau representative accompanied by Airbus experts had flown to Moscow, with another group planning to follow them later in the day to provide assistance in deciphering the data from flight recorders of the A-310.

The spokesman said he was not authorized to comment about the possible causes of the crash because this was within the competence of Russia's investigators.

Four people are still missing after the crash and 52 people are in the hospital.
