Russia is ready to send humanitarian aid to Lebanon, and has asked Beirut to specify the country's immediate needs, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Thursday.
The first stage of an operation to evacuate Russian citizens from Lebanon is over, but 100-150 Russian citizens could still be in Lebanon, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said Thursday. 
Syria's president and a Russian deputy foreign minister agreed Thursday on the need for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict in Lebanon, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. 
The scale of destruction caused in Lebanon by the Israeli military has gone far beyond Israel's stated goals, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday. 
A Yukos lawyer said Thursday the embattled oil company's management believed a court-appointed external manager's report on its financial standing is inaccurate and financial restructuring is possible.
