Russian monetary base up $1.74 bln in week

MOSCOW, July 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank said Friday that the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 2.600,7 billion rubles ($96.43 million at the current exchange rate) as of July 17, up 46.8 billion rubles ($1.74 billion) in the week since July 10.
According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
