MOSCOW, August 23 (RIA Novosti) - Both flight data recorders from the Russian airliner that crashed in stormy weather in Ukraine Tuesday are in a good condition, Russia's transport minister, who heads the commission investigating the accident, said Wednesday.

"The recorders found at the Tu-154 crash site will be sent to Moscow, where Russian and Ukrainian experts will decode the data," Igor Levitin said. "Both recorders seem to be in satisfactory condition."

The Tu-154 crashed in eastern Ukraine en route from the Russian Black Sea resort of Anapa to St. Petersburg. All 170 people on board, including 45 children, were killed.

Preliminary reports suggest the plane could have been hit by lightning.
