GROZNY, August 26 (RIA Novosti) - Police have found two weapons caches in Chechnya, a law enforcement source said Saturday.
"One cache was discovered on the edge of the village of Chechen-Aul in the Grozny district in the course of a special operation," he said, adding there were two Kalashnikov assault rifles, a rocket propelled grenade, a mine, more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, and three electric detonators.
He said the other cache was found near the village of Michurin in Chechnya's western Urus-Martan District, containing two grenades and 154 cartridges of various caliber.
Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov was blown up in a bomb attack in 2004 when he was taking a parade at another local stadium.
