MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - All 15 hostages taken by three inmates in a Moscow pre-trial detention center have been freed after special forces stormed the building. No one was hurt, the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service's press office reiterated Monday.

Earlier, a source in the Federal Penitentiary Service said two of 15 hostages were injured and hospitalized.

A law enforcement officer earlier said three inmates who took hostages have been detained.

Criminal proceedings have been launched, the first deputy Moscow prosecutor said.

A Federal Penitentiary Service official said that while walking in the exercise yard, three inmates about to be sent to prisons to serve nine to 25 years, disarmed the guards, put on their uniforms and seized the detention center's library.
