The "bloody drama" - as local police termed the incident - unfolded between a Turk and a Russian in the Khabarovsk Territory, seven time zones east of Moscow.
"The tragedy happened on Monday between a Russian national aged 32 and a 19-year-old Turk," the police press service said.
According to the police, the Russian had failed to find his 20-year-old girlfriend in her apartment and decided to wait for her in there. The young woman came home some time later accompanied by the national of Turkey. A fight then broke out and the Russian produced a knife. He is said to have fatally stabbed the Turk in the chest, but the younger man was able to extract the weapon from his body and strike his attacker, also with lethal consequences.
