MOSCOW, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Foreign Ministry dismissed Monday reports that Lithuania has expelled a Russian diplomat.
The Lithuanian State Radio and Television Company published Sunday evening a report on its Web site citing an informal source as saying that Lithuania ordered a Russian Embassy official out of the country.
"We cannot confirm reports in the Lithuanian media concerning the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Vilnius," the ministry said in a news release.
It said the matter was being clarified with the Lithuanian side.
Lithuania's Foreign Ministry did not comment.
