MOSCOW, October 17 (RIA Novosti) - The general director of the Elex-Polus car dealership in Moscow has been seriously wounded in an attempt on his life, a police source said Tuesday.
"The incident occurred at about 11.30 p.m. Moscow time (7.30 p.m. GMT) last night, near apartment building No. 110 on Leninsky Prospekt," police said.
Igor Lisyutin was wounded in the neck when an unidentified assailant opened fire from a passing Zhiguli car at an Audi sedan driven by the businessman. He was transported to a Moscow hospital in serious condition.
Police found 11 spent 9 mm cartridges at the scene. A criminal investigation has been opened.
