MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - A large fire that engulfed a construction materials market in northern Moscow early Wednesday has been extinguished; three people were rescued from the blaze and none were injured, the capital's emergency services said.
Efforts to put out the fire, which covered 250 square meters (2,700 sq. feet), were complicated by explosions of liquefied gas cylinders, and firefighters had to use protection shields, spokesman Yevgeny Bobylev said.
He said a total of 20 firefighting units had worked to douse the flames at the market, located on Dmitrovsky Shosse.
