Foreign investment in Russia $130 bln as of Oct.1, up 34.8% y-o-y

MOSCOW, November 20 (RIA Novosti) - Accrued foreign investment in Russia totaled $130 billion as of October 1, up 34.8% year-on-year, of which $35.3 billion came in January-September, 31.7% more than last year, the Federal Statistics Service said Monday.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) accounted for 49.3% of the total figure, up 4.4 percentage points from 44.9% from October 1, 2005, while the share of investment in the form of international financial organizations' loans and trade credits, contracted 4.3 percentage points to 48.8% (53.1%).
The share of foreign portfolio investments edged down to 1.9% from 2%.
Britain, The Netherlands, Cyprus, France, Germany, India, Luxemburg, Switzerland and the United States were the largest investors in Russia during the reporting period, accounting for 82.3% of the country's total accrued foreign investment and 84% of total FDI, the statistics service said.
