MOSCOW, November 27 (RIA Novosti) - An informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held next June in St. Petersburg, a Kremlin source said Monday.
Before the next summit of the alliance 12 former Soviet republics, "the leaders will meet at an informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg, on June 10, 2007, which will be held in conjunction with the 11th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum [June 10-12]," the official said.
A meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council will be held in Minsk Tuesday, to be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
