MOSCOW, February 15 (RIA Novosti) - Experts have removed flight recorders from the Challenger-850 plane that crashed at a Moscow airport Tuesday, and will hand them over to the International Aviation Committee, a committee spokesman said Thursday.

"Both flight data and cockpit voice recorders have been found and removed. It is still too early to judge their condition, but they will be opened at the committee," the spokesman told RIA Novosti.

The plane, bound for Berlin and belonging to U.S. company FortAero Business Aviation, crashed February 13 during takeoff at 4:30 p.m. Moscow time (1:30 p.m. GMT) at Vnukovo-3 airport in a heavy snowstorm.

Three crewmembers, two Russians and a U.S. citizen, were hospitalized.

Alexander Badenkov, the acting transportation prosecutor of the Moscow Region, told RIA Novosti Wednesday: "Two crewmembers are in serious condition in a coma." He said the U.S. citizen, who is of Indian origin, was in worse condition.

"We are checking all the possible versions, including pilot error in difficult weather conditions," he said.
