MOSCOW, February 18 (RIA Novosti) - A new outbreak of dead domestic fowl has been registered in the Naro-Fominsk district in the southwest of the Moscow Region, a regional official said Sunday.
Earlier, dead poultry outbreaks were registered at private subsidiary holdings in the Odintsovo, Domodedovo, Podolsk and Taldom districts of the Moscow Region.
"At present, specialists are studying the dead poultry tests and, therefore, it is early to say what has been the cause for the death of domestic fowl," said Olga Gavrilenko, head of the regional branch of Russia's consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor.
According to Gavrilenko, the situation is similar to the four previous cases when hens were bought at the poultry market in southeast Moscow.
