MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti) - Heat supply in the east of the Moscow Region that was interrupted after an accident on a heat pipeline, has been fully restored, the emergency situations ministry said Sunday.
A total of 39,000 people in 371 houses were left Friday without heating in the town of Elektrostal.
"At about 3:30 p.m. Moscow time (12:30 p.m. GMT), the system of heat supply was launched in full and heat was supplied to the last apartments in 32 houses that had remained partially unheated. Now housing and utility specialists are checking the work of supply lines because the probability of repeat accidents is not ruled out," the ministry said.
Air temperature in the Moscow Region is currently about minus 9 degrees Celsius (16 degrees Fahrenheit).
