KRASNOYARSK, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - At least 80 guests of a governor ball for students in Siberia have been sent to the hospital with food poisoning symptoms, a governor's spokesman said Saturday.
The ball thrown by the Krasnoyarsk governor, Alexander Khloponin, on March 1 gathered more than 1,400 people, spokesman Igor Astapov said.
"Medics have said all the poisoned people show signs of salmonella infection," Astapov said, adding that the final results would be ready Tuesday.
Khloponin, a former chairman of the board in the Norilsk Nickel giant, has taken investigation under personal control.
