MOSCOW, June 8 (RIA Novosti) - The mummified body of an elderly woman who apparently died three years ago has been found in a Moscow apartment, a Moscow police spokesman said Friday.
"The body of a Muscovite by the name of Ryskina was found in her apartment yesterday morning. A preliminary investigation suggests she died about three years ago," he said.
He said police were notified when the building's management noticed that the woman, who was born in 1918 and lived a reclusive life, had not been seen in a long time.
The prosecutor's office and police are investigating the circumstances of the case.
