MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill banning the privatization of water and land assets related to the public water supply, the Kremlin press office said Wednesday.
Passed by parliament earlier this month to amend Russia's current Water and Land Codes, the bill bans privatization of reservoirs used as a source of drinking water and of water for household use, as well as surrounding land areas.
