MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - The American heavy metal band Metallica will give the last concert in its Sick of the Studio 2007 tour in Moscow Wednesday in front of some 60,000 fans and over 3,000 security officers.

Metallica launched its tour in Lisbon June 28, and has already performed for Spanish, Belgian, Greek, Austrian, British, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish audiences.

Special headquarters have been established to coordinate security provisions by police, emergencies officers and doctors at the Luzhniki stadium. In addition, a mounted unit of some 70 policemen will be on patrol.

The band has visited Russia only once before, with a concert taking place at the peak of their fame, in 1991. However, Metallica is believed to be currently experiencing an artistic crisis.

Established in 1981, Metallica released its first album, Kill 'Em All, in late 1983 and achieved "world domination" in 1986. Metallica is now the seventh-biggest selling act in American history.
