Russia's oil output grows 3%, gas production up 0.1% in 1H07

MOSCOW, July 23 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's oil output increased 3% and gas production expanded 0.1% in January-June 2007, year-on-year, the industry and energy ministry said Monday.
Electricity production grew 16.2% at electric power plants and 2.2% at nuclear power plants, while coal output declined 0.9% in the reporting period, the ministry said.
Oil and gas condensate production reached 242.94 million metric tons in January-June 2007, the ministry said.
Natural gas output totaled 333.21 billion cubic meters in the first half of 2007, of which 281.2 billion cubic meters were produced by Russian energy giant Gazprom, the ministry said.
