MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) - A pensioner was killed accidentally in Moscow, when a teenager threw a bottle of booze out of an apartment window to stop his alcoholic mother drinking, a Moscow police spokesman said Friday.
The spokesman said the tragic incident occurred Thursday night in southwest Moscow after the 14-year-old teenager returned home and found his alcoholic mother drinking spirits.
"The distraught son did not want to spend the evening with a drunken parent," the spokesman said. "He snatched the bottle of alcohol out of her hands and threw it out the window. The bottle, which was thrown from a 13th story of the residential apartment block, fell on the head of a 60-year-old passerby."
A criminal case has been launched on charges of death through negligence, the spokesman added.
