Vladimir Zikynov, 50, and his girlfriend, Irina Streltsova, 48, are accused of copying and distributing indecent images of children aged between three and 13 from the Internet.
Streltsova was sentenced to three-and-a-half months in a correctional facility, the spokesman added.
A total of 247 child pornography web-sites in Runet, the Russian Internet domain, have so far been shut down in the first six months of this year.
However, most Web sites detected by Interpol as being primarily located in Russia are actually part of foreign Internet resources, mostly in the United States, said a Russian government spokesman.
Over the past few decades, the pornographic industry has skyrocketed due to the widespread use of VHS and DVD and, in particular, the rise of the Internet.
