Senator from Arkhangelsk Region drowned in northern Russia

ST. PETERSBURG, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - Senator Yuri Sivkov has been found drowned in the Arkhangelsk Region in northern Russia, the regional emergencies service said on Sunday.

On Saturday evening, Sivkov went fishing on a rubber boat. The following morning, his boat was found overturned, after which the rescuers found the senator's body, the emergencies service said.

An investigation is under way, the emergencies service said.
