NOVOSIBIRSK, October 23 (RIA Novosti) - Police in Omsk, a city in southwest Siberia, are searching for a man who attacked a hairdresser in a city hairdressing salon, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
After he had had his hair cut, the suspect hit the woman on the head with a hammer he had been carrying in his bag and then stabbed her with hairdressing scissors. He then took her mobile phone and left the scene of the crime. The woman managed to alert emergency services before losing consciousness.
The victim was hospitalized after the assault with 15 stab wounds and multiple head injuries, and died in hospital several days later, the spokesman said.
