MAKHACHKALA, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - Five militants are holed up in a private house in Daghestan, a republic in Russia's troubled North Caucasus, a local police source said Monday.
Police stormed early Monday a house in the capital of Daghestan, Makhachkala, where five suspects were reportedly hiding. The special operation is still underway.
"No casualties have been reported so far among either police or militants," the source reported. "The house is on fire."
Earlier reports said four women with children left the building unharmed.
