MOSCOW, November 29 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow police are investigating a series of KamAZ truck thefts, following five cases in Moscow in three days, a police source said on Thursday.
The spokesperson said the latest stolen vehicle, a heavy truck, belonged to a construction firm. The driver regularly parked the vehicle in front of his house at night.
"This is the fifth case of a KamAZ being stolen in the last three days," the source said.
According to police, trucks stolen in Moscow are sold to companies building private cottages in the Moscow Region. However, it remains unclear whether the thefts have been committed by a single criminal group.
