ST.PETERSBURG, December 17 (RIA Novosti) - Workers at a Ford factory near St. Petersburg ended a four-week strike on Monday, but warned they could down tools again in February if management fails to meet their demands, a trade union spokesman said.

"The talks will continue until the end of January. If we fail to reach an agreement, the strike could be resumed," the spokesman said.

Last week the workers announced their decision to call off their strike action after talks with management resulted in an agreement on a 30% pay rise by February, 2008.

"We have called off the strike and the plant is starting to work as usual. We will sit down at the negotiating table," the spokesman said.

Some 1,000 workers at the factory halted production on November 20, demanding a wage increase at the U.S. auto giant's sole Russian plant from 21,000 rubles ($860) up to 28,000 rubles ($1,140) per month.
