MAKHACHKALA, January 14 (RIA Novosti) - The bodies of three suspected militants have been found at the site of a shootout that took place early on Monday in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Daghestan, a local police source said.
The three gunmen barricaded themselves in a first-floor apartment of a residential block in Makhachkala, the republic's capital, late on Sunday.
After the militants refused to surrender to law-enforcement officers, a shootout began, including several explosions.
The police source said: "Three bodies have been found at the site, and are currently being indentified... There have been no losses among our personnel."
