Russia's Lavrov to attend Georgian leader's inauguration

MOSCOW, January 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will send Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the inauguration of Georgia's re-elected leader Mikheil Saakashvili scheduled for January 20, a ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday that President Vladimir Putin had received an official invitation to Saakashvili's inauguration.
Delegations from around 40 countries have also been invited.
Saakashvili received 53.47% of the vote in the January 5 presidential polls.
