MOSCOW, January 18 (RIA Novosti) - Customs officers at Moscow's Domodedovo airport have seized over six kilograms of heroin from a Russian arriving on a flight from Tajikistan, a spokeswoman for the customs service said on Friday.
The man went through the nothing-to-declare corridor, but a subsequent X-ray showed mysterious packages in three boxes filled with fruit that he was carrying. A search revealed that the packages held a total of 6.063 kg of heroin
A criminal case has been launched and the man will face up to 12 years behind bars if found guilty of smuggling.
