MOSCOW, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - German airline Lufthansa denied on Monday a report from officials at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport that a plane flying from Frankfurt was forced to make an emergency landing in Moscow.
An air traffic source told RIA Novosti earlier that a Lufthansa Airbus A320 with 109 passengers on board had successfully carried out an emergency landing, but said that no one was injured.
The airport's official spokeswoman, Anna Zakharenkova, confirmed the report: "The landing was an emergency one, and was delayed by half an hour due to technical problems on board the plane... Fortunately everything ended favorably."
However, the airline denied the information.
Lufthansa's Russia and CIS PR coordinator, Svetlana Brinza, said: "There was no incident, the landing was regular."
