MOSCOW, January 28 (RIA Novosti) - One Russian policeman and one serviceman were killed along with two militants in an armed clash in east Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus, a local police source said on Monday.
A police team apprehended a group of gunmen in the Nozhai-Yurt district at around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
A policeman and an Interior Ministry contract soldier were killed in the ensuing gunfire. Another two policemen have been hospitalized.
The search for the remaining gunmen resumed early on Monday.
