Farm fire kills 100 pigs in East Siberia's Ulan-Ude

NOVOSIBIRSK, February 21 (RIA Novosti) - A fire that broke out on Thursday at a pig farm in Ulan-Ude in the East Siberian republic of Buryatia killed a total of 100 pigs, a source in the city administration said.
The blaze, which spread over an area of 61 square meters, is believed to have been caused by disregard of fire regulations, he said.
The farm is part of a retirement home.
