TYUMEN, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russian pipeline maker AMK-Vigas offered on Wednesday a $40,000 reward to the finder of a helicopter carrying the company's director that went missing in Siberia over a week ago.

A Robinson R44 helicopter carrying the company chief and a pilot was lost between the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and Tyumen region on March 2.

A rescue team supported by three Mi-8 helicopters and an An-2 plane has failed to find the two people or the plane. The company's acting director offered the reward to encourage locals to take part in the ground search.

The spokesman said the helicopter's flight had not been authorized by air traffic controllers. Criminal proceedings have been launched into the case.

AMK-Vigas designs, develops, and builds pipelines for the oil and gas industry.
