MOSCOW, April 6 (RIA Novosti) - Sunday's temperature in Moscow hit 19.2 degrees Celsius (66.56 Fahrenheit), a record high for April 6, as the capital's unusually warm spring continues, Russian meteorological website meteonovosti.ru said.
The previous record for April 6 was registered in 1975. The site said temperatures could climb even higher by the end of the day.
Numerous temperature records have been broken in Moscow in recent years. March last year was the warmest in 125 years, and January 2008 was the mildest since records began 130 years ago.
