Georgia will not continue talks on Russia's WTO bid until Moscow revokes its decision to support Georgia's breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, a deputy economics minister said on Tuesday.
"This program envisions the creation of a unified, combined-arms defense network to protect vital objects of military, political and economic infrastructure from strikes delivered with high-precision weapons," Sergei Ivanov told a meeting of the military-industrial commission under the Russian government. 
Russia's Defense Ministry issued a stern warning to Georgia on Tuesday over its actions in its conflict zones, and pledged to deploy more Russian peacekeepers in the area. 
The United States is a key player in the Middle East peace process, while Russia lacks clout, Syria's president said on Tuesday. 
The dispute over a Russian equipment delivery for Iran's first nuclear plant, detained last month by Azerbaijani customs officials, must be resolved without the UN, Iran's envoy to Baku said on Tuesday. 
Foreign ministers of the 27-nation European Union will gather in Luxembourg on Tuesday to try, among other things, to adopt a common approach to cooperation with Russia.
