MOSCOW, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - Three unidentified assailants fired grenade launchers and automatic rifles at two Russian military vehicles in Chechnya, a law enforcement source said on Tuesday.
"The attack took place at 17:30 (13:30 GMT) [Monday] in the town of Bamut... The military servicemen were returning to their base from a reconnaissance mission. No personnel losses have been reported," he said.
He added that one vehicle had been burned out and that a local resident was injured in the attack.
Police said on Tuesday they had discovered a deserted militant camp in Chechnya's Vedensky District.
Six tents were found, containing one grenade launcher, ammunition, food, clothes, and medication.
One police officer was injured when he stepped on a mine at the camp.
