MOSCOW, June 19 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people were injured in a shooting following an argument between two local families in a village in Russia's North Caucasus Republic of Chechnya, a police source said on Thursday.
The shootout occurred on Wednesday afternoon in a village in the central part of the republic, southeast of the capital Grozny.
"During the argument, one of the participants, being extremely drunk, shot himself and six other people with a TT pistol," the source said.
All the wounded have been hospitalized and the gunman detained. An investigation into whether a criminal case should be launched is underway.
