MOSCOW, June 27 (RIA Novosti) - A light cargo plane, making an aerial photography flight, crashed in the Moscow Region on Friday shortly after a take-off, killing all five people onboard, the emergencies ministry said.
"The An-2 plane crashed from the height of around 1.5 to 2 kilometers and burst into flames on the ground," a spokesman for the ministry said, adding that two crew members and three members of an aerial photography team died.
The airplane crashed some 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from an airfield in the Serpukhov Region, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of Moscow.
The bodies of the victims are being identified and an investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the crash, the spokesman added.
In early June, another An-2 plane crashed in southern Russia's Stavropol Region, killing both pilots.
