MOSCOW, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - A BMW X5 off-road vehicle was stolen from a woman, allegedly working as a cleaner at a Moscow company, Russian media reported on Friday.
The 47-year-old woman, who lives in Moscow's most expensive and prestigious region, claimed to work as a cleaner in a company responsible for street illumination in Moscow.
Russia's capital has seen a growing trend recently of expensive cars being stolen from allegedly unemployed people, rather than traditional victims like officials and business leaders.
This week, a 54-year-old man, claiming to be unemployed, lost his Lexus GS 430 luxury sedan worth some 2 million rubles ($78,000), while a $63,000 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was stolen from another jobless Moscow resident.
