Atomenergoprom holding company unites enterprises of the country's civil nuclear industry and is part of the state nuclear corporation Rosatom.
"Exports of uranium products and uranium enrichment services will hit $3 billion in 2008," Atomenergoprom said in a statement.
At the present time, Atomenergoprom accounts for 40% of the global market for uranium enrichment services, the statement said.
Uranium output at Russian enterprises could grow 4%, year-on-year, in 2008 to 3,541 metric tons, the statement said.
Considering the volume of uranium produced by the Zarechnoye Russian-Kazakh joint venture, uranium output could rise to 3,841 metric tons, the statement said.
"Already today the Russian uranium-producing company Atomredmetzoloto holds second place in the world in terms of reserves and the fifth place in terms of uranium production. We face the task of increasing output volumes to 15,000 metric tons by 2020 to satisfy in full the nuclear sector's growing requirements," the statement said.
