Apartment fire in northeast Urals kills 5

TYUMEN, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Five people died early on Friday morning after a fire broke out in an apartment in the Yamalo-Nenets Region of Russia's northeast Urals, the regional emergency service said.
The cause of the fire, in a ground-floor flat of a two-storey building in the town of Labytnangi, has yet to be ascertained, and the victims are being identified, a spokesman told RIA Novosti.
The fire broke out at 12:55 a.m. local time (20:55 GMT), and firefighters had put out the blaze an hour later. Thirty-eight people were evacuated from the building.
