* Russia hopes to raise the efficiency of the fight against terrorism with a new treaty on European security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the 2009 Brussels Forum

* Four people died and eight others were injured in a stampede at a discotheque in a small town in Russia's Urals, the country's main investigative body said
