IRKUTSK, March 31 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is to supply Iraq with 22 Mi-171 Hip transport helicopters, a spokesman for the Helicopters of Russia holding said on Tuesday.

The contract was signed between Airfreight Aviation Ltd and East Siberia's Ulan Ude helicopter plant.

The spokesman did not say when the contract was signed or how much it was worth.

The Ulan Ude helicopter plant manufactures Mi-171 transport and Mi-171Sh combat/transport helicopters.
