Russian president to start LiveJournal blog - paper
Presidential press secretary Natalya Timakova confirmed that LiveJournal - Russia's most popular blogging site with 2.8 million accounts of 19.2 million accounts worldwide - would be used to expand on the president's Kremlin.ru blog, Vedomosti reported.
Timakova told the paper the president's blog posts would be available for comments and debate following requests from visitors to the official presidential website.
A presidential administration official said the new blog would be moderated by the same team of computer experts as the current site at http://blog.kremlin.ru, the paper reported.
Medvedev has said he uses the Internet extensively every day and believes it to be the best possible platform for public debate.
