Russia's Lavrov seeks Church help in countering racism
Sergei Lavrov, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, and representatives of other religions attended an Easter reception in central Moscow.
"We hope that interaction with the Russian Orthodox Church will continue to actively strengthen in the future... We are particularly interested in continuing joint efforts to develop interfaith dialogue to prevent intolerance, xenophobia, and insults of believers' religious sentiments," Lavrov said.
Patriarch Kirill called on diplomats to keep in mind religious values in their work.
He said that in political and economic situations, politicians need to seek solutions that "do not violate the moral laws established by God, which are true for all times and all nations."
